In addition to the galleries that are regulars at the event - and that are also present in Switzerland, Miami and Hong Kong - some will be making their first appearance, including Anne Barrault, Christian Berst art brut, Magnin-A, la Salle Principale and We Do Not Work Alone; Efremidis (Berlin), Cécile Fakhoury Gallery (Abidjan, Dakar and Paris), Heidi (Berlin), LC Queisser (Tbilisi), Seventeen (London), Chris Sharp Gallery (Los Angeles), and Tim van Laere Gallery (Antwerp).
The Sites sector will see 25 sculptures in emblematic places in the capital such as the Jardin des Tuileries (Domaine national du Louvre), the Place Vendôme, the Musée national Eugène-Delacroix and the Chapelle des Petits-Augustins (Beaux-Arts de Paris).
"Of equal importance to us are the many galleries that give Paris its dynamism in different sectors, giving this event a uniquely Parisian personality," says Marc Spiegler, Art Basel's managing director.
