Singaporean urban culture takes over Paris

Under the direction of Iman Ismail, a selection of artists who embody Singaporean urban culture have come together in Paris for an exhibition entitled “C(HOPE)”.

 

Until February 17 at the République-Valmy Showroom, visitors can view works “on the theme of possession, of belonging to a place”, including pieces by designers and video-artists, installations, photos, dance, music, virtual reality and mapping.

With an aim to promote local contemporary culture, the event has the support of the National Arts Council and the Singapore Tourism Board. During the exhibition, artists David Chan and Manic Jango have been welcomed into residence in the space.
