Art Basel Miami Beach, the ultimate highlight of the year for art enthusiasts and market players alike, unfolds from the 7th to the 10th of December.

Adrienne Elise Tarver - Welancora Gallery

Through sculpture, video, works on paper and tapestries, Adrienne Elise Tarver addresses issues related to female identity and hope. Born in 1985, Tarver’s Manifesta Paradise series, in her own words, "explores the desire to know that there is progress and beauty in the future and is an exploration of the endurance, permanence, and resonance of symbols, imagery, ideas, and omens through generations".

Veronika Pausova - Simone Subal Gallery

Art Basel Miami Beach 2023 

 

Prague-born, Montreal-based artist Veronika Pausova intrigues with a captivating process and her compositional oil paintings, combining hyper-realistic elements on pigment-soaked canvases.

Matt Bollinger - mother's tankstation limited

Born in 1980 in Kansas City and now based in Holmes, New York, Matt Bollinger depicts a – dark – portrait of American society through powerful drawings, paintings, and stop-motion animations. The artist’s work transcends social commentary, it is a response, a call for empathy.

Sergey Kononov - Clearing 

Art Basel Miami Beach 2023 

 

Born in Odesa, Ukraine, in 1993, the young prodigy Sergey Kononov presents us with captivating portraits. Recently exhibited in Paris by the Lazarew Gallery, Kononov’s work represents the essence of youth and its bodies, questioning its time and desires.

Charles Gaines: 1992–2023 

ICA Miami 

​​ 

Considered the first African-American conceptual artist, Charles Gaines was at the forefront of a generative artistic approach rooted in formulas and systems. The exhibition showcases 60 pieces of work spanning from 1992 to the present day, including two monumental artworks.
