POUSH.Manifesto: a trendy “coworking area” for artists?

Located in the Parisian suburbs of Clichy, this temporary residence for artists is quite far from what one might consider a glamorous destination. Nevertheless, the place has its charm and creative aura and very much resonates with the contemporary art scene and its issues.

As a point of contact between art and social interaction, this project is designed to help emerging artists to advance their international careers, while for those who have already established themselves it facilitates a search of new ways to develop their creative potential. The established workshops have solved a number of pressing problems of the artists themselves, giving more space and freedom to their work, not burdened by administrative and financial aspects. Last but not least, artists taking up space on the outskirts of Paris has attracted the attention of the local art community, encouraging the revaluation of urban spaces and the decentralisation of the system of cultural policies.
