It's over between Murakami and Blum & Poe


The gallery, which boasts spaces in Los Angeles, New York and Tokyo, has represented the artist's work for the past 25 years. Takashi Murakami also has links to Gagosian (who recently held an exhibition in Beverly Hills) and Perrotin, but the reasons for his split with Blum & Poe have not yet been revealed. Iranian artist Monir Shahroudy Farmanfarmaian passes away


Born in 1923, Monir Farmanfarmaian was trained in the fine arts at the University of Tehran and at the Parsons School of Design in New York. Her work is a fusion of traditional Iranian art and modern western abstractionism. Represented by The Third Line and the Haines Gallery, the artist worked with drawings, collages, mosaic mirrors and geometric sculptures. Read further via The Art Newspaper.
