New mission for Hoor Al Qasimi
It’s fair to say the next few months are looking busy for Hoor Al Qasimi. Director of the Sharjah Art Foundation and President of the International Biennial Association, she will now be curating the Lahore Biennial in Pakistan, 2020.
Sitting on the Board of Directors for the MoMA PS1 and Berlin’s KW Institute for Contemporary Art, Hoor Al Qasimi is also a jury member for the famous PinchukArtCentre’s Future Generation Art Prize.
Osman Khalid Waheed, President of the Biennial’s Board praised the new curator’s hold on “the power of art to transform narratives and transcend borders”. Read further via ArtForum.
New York | Jim Carrey amongst the artists on show at the Outsider Art Fair 2019
The 27th edition of the Outsider Art Fair will bring together 67 galleries in New York from January 17 through 20.
Whilst the big names of Outsider Art such as Madge Gill, Carlo Zinelli, Martín Ramirez and Henry Darger will still be present, this year’s ‘big event’ will be the Maccarone gallery’s solo show dedicated to political cartoons by actor Jim Carrey.
