American sculptor Robert Morris passes away
Known for his sculptures and as a pioneer of minimalism, American artist Robert Morris has passed away aged 87. With a career of experimenting with various media, from painting and performance to Land Art, many of the biggest institutions possess his works in their collections. Morris is represented by the Leo Castelli Gallery, Sonnabend Gallery and Sprüth Magers.

A new technology, christened RePaint, has been developed by the Massachusetts Institute of Technology's Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence Laboratory.
The lab is in collaboration with artist Azadeh Asadi and has established a method using ten colours, as opposed to the standard four normally used. More information available via artnet.
