Wanting to "finance, exhibit and give exposure to the new art scene, both in France and abroad", this yearly €500K fund will invite a household name of the contemporary art scene to mentor an emerging artist.

The project was created by Paul-Emmanuel Reiffers, entrepreneur and founder of the Mazarine communication group as well as owner of the Studio des Acacias in Paris. For its first edition it will host a collaboration between mentor Rashid Johnson and Kenny Dunkan, a young artist from Guadalupe and former resident at the Villa Médicis.

Sitting on the board of experts will be the president of the Palais de Tokyo in Paris, Simon Njami, the art consultant Eve Therond, journalist Thibault Wychowanok, the Artistic Director of the Samdani Foundation Diana Campbell Betancourt, former director of the Paris national Opera and founder of the L.A. Dance Project Benjamin Millepied, Marie-Cécile Zinsou who founded the Zinsou Foundation, Modern Media founder Thomas Shao and artistic director Olivier Massart.

The result of the mentorship will be on display during the 2022 International Contemporary Art Fair (FIAC). In addition to that, every spring a collective exhibition will be offered at the Studio des Acacias in Paris.
