The Ishara Art Foundation to open in Dubai
In the heart of the town’s arty neighbourhood, on Alserkal Avenue, the foundation will open on March 18. Created by entrepreneur and collector Smita Prabhakar, the space will be dedicated to contemporary artists from South Asia.
An exhibition entitled “Altered Inheritances: Home is a Foreign Place”, featuring works by Shilpa Gupta and Zarina Hashmi, will be on show to the public. More information available via ArtForum.
Nine artists for the Frieze NYC “Platform”
From March 7 to 10, the section of the fair curated by Sally Tallant will bring together works by Andreas Angelidakis, Siah Armajani, Tania Candiani, Ryan Gander, Iris Häussler, Xaviera Simmons, Jessica Stockholder, Super Taus, and Pascale Marthine Tayou.
With the theme of “Worlds of Tomorrow”, the section will mainly be comprised of works created especially for the event. Read further via ArtNews.
