Isa Genzken wins the Nasher Prize 2019
“We’d be hard pressed to name an artist with a more textured and dynamic sculptural practice than Isa Genzken”, said Jeremy Stick, Director of the Nasher Sculpture Center in Dallas, after revealing the identity of the Nasher Prize 2019’s winner.

A new record for Alberto Burri at Phillips?
At its New York sales in November, auction house Phillips will be presenting a large-scale piece, Grande Legno e Rosso (1957-59), by the Italian artist. Valued at between $10m and $15m, the sale of the painting could set a new record for Alberto Burri if it surpasses the $13.1m fetched in 2016.
Exhibited as part of a retrospective in 2015, the work has been owned by the same family for 50 years. The auction house has not provided any guarantee for the piece. Read further via artnet.
