Sotheby's joins forces with Steve Lazarides to put Rammellzee works on the market
At the biggest European Street-Art gallery, the auction house will be offering pieces from the famous street-artist's estate (managed by the Sotheby's) in parallel with the Frieze next October. Rammellzee, who passed away in 2010 at the age of 49, was a central figure in the underground New York scene. Some of the works currently on show at an exhibition at the Red Bull Arts Center in New York have been lent by Sotheby's.
This Autumn, at the first big UK exhibition dedicated to the artist, Sotheby's will be looking to sell around five pieces, valued at between £30,000 and £350,000. Read further via The Art Newspaper.
