Article
A new form of training is being launched at the MACAAL (Musée d'Art Contemporain African Al Maaden) in Marrakech.

The "first program to source and strengthen cultural agents from the contemporary art world in Africa" will take place over four days, from January 14 to 17 — one month before the 1.54 Fair, whose Marrakech edition will bring about an influx of collectors and professionals from around the world.

Through a series of workshops and masterclasses, the event will help its participants "to assess and challenge oneself and get empowered by professionals and mentors".

The Bootcamp will create a real "class spirit" amongst is participants, with a mix of training and knowledge-building, as well as workshops on management and cultural leadership, and sessions with mentors.

The aim of the Bootcamp is "sourcing high potential young African professionals and building a Pan-African class with professional opportunities", "helping to create a generation of African professionals, in Africa", and "equipping cultural structures with empowered and pro-active agents".

Candidates should be under 35 years old, and must be active in contemporary or visual arts.
