The legendary 108 Rue Vielle du Temple will soon be home to mega-gallery David Zwirner, which already boasts spaces in London, Hong Kong, and three in New York.

The 800m2 Parisian space was occupied by renowned gallerist Yvon Lambert for nearly 30 years, before being taken over by Victoire de Pourtalès and Hélène Nguyen-Ban with their VNH Gallery in 2015. VNH has come to its "Happy Ending" (as Nguyen-Ban put it in the FT), however, and are now shutting up shop.

As a consequence of Brexit, Paris is once more becoming a key scene for art dealers with a partial collector-base in continental Europe.

Amongst the artists represented by the gallery — exclusively big names — are Njideka Akunyili Crosby, Francis Alÿs, Carol Bove, Marlene Dumas, Luc Tuymans, Jeff Koons, Yayoi Kusama and Raymond Pettibon.

David Zwirner Paris will be co-directed by Victoire de Pourtalès and Justine Durrett, the latter having worked as Director of the New York gallery until now. More information available here.
