Flanders | The government launches zero-rate credit for the purchase of contemporary art

Article
The initiative “Kunst Aan Zet” will be launched in September, with an aim to support collectors of works by Flanders and Brussels-based artists.

The loans could vary from €500 to €7,000 and must be repaid within a maximum of two years. The initiative is the product of a collaboration between the Flemish government, Kunst in Huis (a company which loans artworks to individuals and businesses) and Hefboom (specialists in small loans within the cultural sector), and joins a host of similar initiatives which already exist in several countries, including the Netherlands.
