Thom Collins joins Barnes Foundation Philadelphia

Director of Pérez Art Museum Miami, Florida, Thom Collins has announced his departure having been selected for the role of executive director and president of the Barnes Foundation Philadelphia.

The Barnes Foundation has been under the direction of Peg Zminda, COO and CFO, for the last year, who has been standing in since the departure of Derek Gillman. On the same day as news was released of Collins selection, Gillman was named as Christie's chairman and senior vice president of Impressionist and modern art for the Americas.

Joseph Neubauer, Director of Chairman of the Board of Trustees at the Barnes Foundation explained their choice “His (Collins’) track record in museum leadership, community outreach, and development makes him the right choice to lead the Barnes Foundation at this time.”
