NADA announces first edition of International Exhibitor Prize

New York-based New Art Dealers Alliance (NADA) has announced that applications are now open for the first edition of its International Exhibitor Prize.

The winner will exhibit work at NADA Miami Beach 2016 — the event’s 13th edition, running from December 1 through 4 at the Deauville Beach Resort — in a booth sponsored by the organizing association. Participant artists must be represented by commercial galleries based outside the US and cannot have shown at NADA before. The deadline to apply is July 11.

The establishment of the prize, following the success of NADA Miami Beach 2015, came about as a way to continue NADA’s legacy as a non-profit arts organization dedicated to the cultivation, support, and advancement of emerging contemporary artists.

The annual event NADA Miami Beach was born as an “alternative assembly” within the art world, aimed at “exploring new or underexposed art that is not typical of the ‘art establishment’”. The event is also aimed at supporting the work of younger galleries, and encourage future participation.
