Inti Guerrero named as 2018 curator of EVA International, Ireland’s Biennial

Following the official closure of the 2016 edition of EVA International on July 17 — curated by Koyo Kouoh — the organizers of the event have revealed the name of the curator for the next edition due to take place in 2018.

The 38th edition of the event is to take place from April 14 through July 8 2018 will be curated by Inti Guerrero, born 1983 in Bogota, Colombia.

Guerrero is the Estrellita B. Brodsky Adjunct Curator of Latin American Art at the Tate and has previously organised exhibitions at the  Fondazione Sandretto Re Rebaudengo, the CA2M in Madrid and at the Kadist Art Foundation in San Francisco. Guerrero is based in Hong Kong and writes regularly for Art Asia Pacific,  Ramona, Manifesta Journal, The Exhibitionist and ArtNexus.

EVA International 2016 saw 297 works of art exhibited across various sites and attracted over 100,000 visitors. For the next edition of the biennial an open call to artists is open until September.
