Crossroads is not coming back until… 2018

Despite having appointed a new director — Liv Vaisberg — and the hopes for a promising second edition, Crossroads art fair, which was set to open on September 30 at Victoria House, has been postponed to 2018.

Last year, the fair had welcomed 40 European and Latin American galleries at London’s Old Truman Brewery during Frieze.

Whilst last year Art 16 — another fair dedicated to middle-market galleries — had announced it would not go ahead with a 2017 edition, Crossroads seemed to have had a successful first run. The fair’s organizers have explained that they prefer postponing Crossroads to next year in order to “keep the quality of the fair high” at a “time of economic uncertainty for emerging and middle-market galleries”.

Among the galleries who had participated in the first edition are Eva Meyer (Paris), Vermelho (Sao Paulo) or Revolver (Lima).
