Crossroads | The ambitious art fair returns to London

Article
The London fair Crossroads is returning to the British capital for a second edition under the newly appointed director Liv Vaisberg.

The fair, open to emerging and established galleries, is moving to a new location at the Victoria House Basement in Bloomsbury for its second edition, running from September 30 through October 4. Director Liv Vaisberg has co-founded Brussels art fair POPPOSITIONS and has previously co-directed Independent Brussels.

The selection committee is composed of Delfina Foundation director Aaron Cezar; curator and writer Lisa Le Feuvre as well as collector Eugenio Re Rebaudengo, who is also founder of the online platform ARTURNER. The fair will welcome 35 galleries as well as curator Maitreyi Maheshwari, who will be charged with curating the “spatial program” in order for Crossroads to be more “like an exhibition than a traditional art fair”.

Maitreyi is also Programme Director for the London-based Zablodowicz Collection. Participating galleries will be encouraged to present solo shows and take advantage of the exhibition space. “Crossroads is relaunching itself among a new generation of art fairs, focusing on more intimate encounters and stronger curatorial approaches. The jury — as well as the fair’s curated sections — represents this shift, which will provide London with a new diversely global fair” explains Aaron Cezar.

The full exhibitor list will be revealed later this Summer.
