Cau Ferrat Museum Spain reopens following €9.7 million renovations

Following four years worth of work and €9.7 million of funding, the Cau Ferrat Museum in the coastal town of Sitges in Spain has reopened its doors.

The small yet high-calibre museum features artists including Pablo Picasso, Ramón Casas, Ignacio Zuloaga, Darío de Regoyos, Manolo Hugué, Pau Gargalló, and Enric Clarasó.  Also included are 28 works by Catalan modernist artist Santiago Rusiñol, to whom the museum formerly served as his home, studio and workshop.

The reopening of Cau Ferrat marks the first in a series of moves which aim to establish Stiges as an important cultural city in Spain, with plans to re-launch the Museo de Maricel and Arte de la Villa.
