Half a million visitors for Matisse at MoMA

Article
Open since October 12, the exhibition “Henri Matisse: The Cut-Outs” has already attracted more than 500,000 visitors to the Museum of Modern Art in New York.

The museum has also announced that the exhibition is to be extended until February 12, the exhibition was due to close two days prior. Opening hours have also been extended for January 17-18 and 24-25 during which period the museum will be open until 8pm.

Despite the impressive number of visitors, the heights reached by the 1992 Matisse retrospective at MoMA will probably not be reached - this particular exhibition welcomed over 940,000 visitors.
