The Global Private Museum Summit takes Shanghai

The Global Private Museum Summit, launched in 2013 during Art13 has been a huge asset to the London-based fair, ensuring the presence of many major collectors. However, Philip Dodd, director of the conference, has announced that this year’s summit is to take place in Shanghai on November 21.

Dodd is also launching the Global Private Museum Network, a website designed to connect private museum owners from across the world. The relocation and subsequent launch of the site couldn’t come at a better time for China, for whom out of their 4000 museums, 500 are private and it is no secret that they could do with some improved management. Happening took a long look at  China's proliferation of museums, read more here.
