Quikky tours cast new light on the Vatican art

Gay travel company Quiiky are to begin conducting sexuality-themed tours of the Vatican city, presenting new and more liberal perspectives on artists such as Michelangelo, whose work has been for centuries shrouded in prudishness.
Despite filling the Sistine Chapel with depictions of nude men and the discovery of hundreds of love poems addressed to a young Roman man, Michelangelo’s sexuality has long been overlooked by art historians and the Catholic Church. According to The Guardian’s art critic Jonathan Jones, “Michelangelo’s nudes are about a lot more than sex. But they make no sense without it.”
