Venice Biennale: India bounces back

Article
Indian galleries have been notably absent from the Asian art fairs since the beginning of the year, and today it's the Indian State who has turned its back on the Venice Biennale.
Even if enthusiasm for Indian art has dwindled over the past few years, the artistic talent still lives on. The country is only missing the right actors to unleash its new wave of artists. Luckily for India and Pakistan, Feroze Gujral has brought together artists Shilpa Gupta and Rashid Rana via her foundation, organized under the curatorship of Natasha Ginwala and Martina Mazzotta, “My East is your West.” The event took place within the exquisite Palazzo Benzon, launched in an extravagant evening opening on May 5.
