Phillips to offer works by Latin American artists in its main contemporary art auctions

The auction house has announced that it will discontinue its dedicated Latin American art sale, and that it will now incorporate these lots into its 20th Century and Contemporary auctions.
The move comes after a spike in prices for works by Latin American artists; notably, the auction house has cited recent sales of works by artists Herrera, Schendel and Oiticica, which all attained auction records at Phillips’ New York contemporary evening sales.
