Artforum to dismiss Knight Landesman sexual harassment suit

The magazine has filed a motion asking for the dismissal of the lawsuit filed against it by former employee Amanda Schmitt, accusing its publisher, Knight Landesman, of having harassed her for years both during her time at Artforum and after. A spokesperson for Artforum has clarified that the magazine has separated entirely from Landesman and that they are only responding to the lawsuit on behalf of the magazine itself.

The magazine’s motion, filed by Artforum International Magazine Inc.’s lawyer, Bettina B. Plevan, alleges that none of Schmitt’s claims “have alleged an adequate legal or factual basis”. Read more on ARTnews.
