In 2017, the work of David Hockney is to be presented as part of a major retrospective at the Tate Britain to coincide with his 80th birthday. The exhibition is to take place from February 9 through March 29 2017, presenting over 160 artworks including his famous iPad. The exhibition will then travel to the Centre Pompidou and the Met.

Koelnmesse, who organize Art Cologne and Cologne Fine Art have expressed concerns over the proposed laws to heritage protection in Germany. H A P P E N I N G looked into the consequences of the draft law this summer. The gallery Broadway 1602, located in the Flower District in New York since 2005, has announced the opening of a new space in Harlem joining Gavin Brown and Elizabeth Dee who recently made the move. The new location in a former Fire station on 211/213 East 121st Street is the third space for the gallery. More info on ArtNews.
