Chennai’s first ever international photo festival opened its doors today. The Chennai Photo Biennale, jointly organized by the Goethe-Institut Chennai and Travelling Lens, runs through March 13 and comprises several print exhibitions, workshops, artist talks, symposium and curated projections.

The United Kingdom risks losing an Alberto Giacometti sculpture, valued at over £2 million, unless a UK buyer can be found. The UK’s culture minister Ed Vaizey has placed a temporary export ban, until May 24, on Femme to try keep the artwork in the country.
