Artist Hervé Télémarque has fallen out with his gallery of 22 years, Louis Carré & Cie, and is to be represented by his former Paris-based gallery Rabouan Moussion with whom he worked during the 90s.

According to Copenhagen-based advocacy group Freemuse, internationally, attacks on artistic freedom are on the rise, with 469 cases taking place last year, over twice as many as in 2014. In 2015 292 cases of censorship were recorded with other attacks on artistic freedom taking place in the form of detention, prosecution, physical attacks and even three killings. A longer analysis is available via The Art Newspaper. Art Cologne, the world’s oldest art fair, has announced that their 2017 edition is to take place from April 28 through May 1, the weekend that Berlin Gallery Weekend normally takes place. The undesirable clash is due to programming problems with Art Cologne’s Koelnmesse convention hall location. More via artnet News.
