The Great Sotheby’s Exodus continues, this time it is Cheyenne Westphal, International Head of Contemporary Art, who is leaving the auction house, after 25 years of service. Olivier Barker has since been promoted to President Europe, whilst Alex Branczik will head the London contemporary art department.

Philanthropist Elisabeth Murdoch has announced the creation of an annual prize worth $150,000 dedicated to women artists in the UK. The jury will be composed of Jenni Lomax, Director at Camden Arts Centre ; curator Teresa Gleadowe ; artist Phyllida Barlow and Martin Clark, Director at Bergen Kunsthalle.

The Queen of Architecture, Dame Zaha Hadid passed away on March 31 age 65. She died of a heart attack after having been hospitalized for bronchitis. Some of her most notable creations include the MAXXI in Rome as well as an extension to the Serpentine Gallery in London.
